Grow announces new structured finance appointment
Leading non-bank business lender, Grow Finance (Grow) announces the appointment of David Keeling as a Senior Partner in the Structured Finance and Payments division.
Mr. Keeling will be responsible for structuring invoice and trade finance deals, including single-product, product fusions and compounded finance working capital facilities. In addition, Mr. Keeling will be actively involved in Grow’s new generation product enhancements, product extensions, and new product development (single and blended) to meet current and emerging demand for working capital solutions.
“David will play an integral role in helping to facilitate the company’s aggressive growth targets, including its expansion of invoice and trade finance offering. This will be achieved by assisting the BDM team and working with brokers to structure products and complete bespoke transactions,” said Greg Woszczalski, Co-CEO, Grow.
Co-CEO David Verschoor concurred, stating, “We’re thrilled to have David join the team. He brings an in-depth knowledge of and experience in structuring, credit analysis, sales and relationship building. With a strong track record, David will also be responsible for motivating and maintaining a high-performance salesforce.”
When asked about his objectives, Mr. Keeling commented, “Grow has consistently demonstrated balanced risk growth and is a serious long-term player in the market. The company’s goal, and mine personally, is to be the non-bank of choice for business and brokers’ preferred partner for all SME asset finance and working capital requirements.”
“My short-term focus is to build out Grow’s invoice finance, trade finance and asset-based lending book whilst maximising opportunities within the existing portfolio. Our longer-term focus is to continue to balance risk with growth whilst servicing the market to the highest standard with an experienced and proactive team. Similarly, I encourage brokers to take a long-term outlook with SME clients to help balance risk and promote sustainable growth,” continued Mr. Keeling.
Mr. Keeling’s hire is part of Grow’s broader team restructure to manage increased deal flow, improve service levels, and ensure brokers are well supported. He will work closely with Andrew Speers, Managing Partner, Structured Finance and Payments.
Mr. Keeling has over 25 years of international and domestic experience in financial services, including relationship management, trade and invoice finance, origination, business development and credit in global banks, non-banks and fintechs. Most recently, he was the Head of Business Credit at a BNPL fintech.
