Australian FinTech celebrates its 10th Anniversary!
July 2025 marks 10 years since the launch of Australian FinTech.
Australian FinTech launched as an online community platform for the burgeoning fintech industry in Australia in 2015, back when many people didn’t know what ‘fintech’ was. Now it’s a global phenomenon and has been for years.
As the first fintech community and information platform – and the longest running fintech news site in Australia – we’re glad to say that we’re still powering on, 10 years after we launched!
Personally, I’d like to thank my fellow Co-Founder Rob James – this site would be nothing without his original foresight and platform build.
Rob and I would like to thank everyone that has helped us along the way – both internally like Jaye James, Gabriela Floreano, Ethan Josephson, Nick Dart, Kareem Bassiouni and Georgina Josephson.
Externally we’d like to thank Michelle Jones, Glen Frost, Jen Harrison, Rachel Loncar, Eliza Arrowsmith and many, many, many more who have helped and supported us since Day One.
In addition to those people, since launching we’ve worked with an incredible 250+ PR firms. Thank you for all your support (and patience!).
Over the years we’ve had over 500 Members on Australian FinTech who see the value in what we do and support us, which helps the site to continue and to support them and the industry as a whole. These amazing Members and their ongoing support is the backbone of Australian FinTech. We thank each and every one of you, and to our future Members too.
We’ve also had 100+ advertisers – from local startups to global behemoths – advertise and market their goods and services through our site, socials and newsletters. Thank you.
We’ve published closed to 10,000 articles for over 1,00 different fintech companies, and those articles have been turned into 30,000+ social media posts and hundreds of newsletters.
From that we’ve attracted 50,000+ global social media followers and over 5,000 newsletter subscribers.
Deep down, we just hope we’ve helped many fintechs get their word out to Australia and the world, and also aided the industry as a whole in Australia.
Thank you everyone!
