Independent Data and Transaction Services Pty Ltd (iDATS) is a payment industry technology company specialising in the development and automation of merchant-funded reward and loyalty programs for debit, credit and pre-paid cardholders.

The combination of iDATS’ technology and captured data enables merchants to encourage repeat business from enrolled cardholders through the ability to provide several types of rewards, including cash back as a credit directly to a cardholder’s card account.

Their mission is to create value for their clients through the implementation of their innovative and ground breaking technology.

The enabling proprietary technology (which has four patents pending) has been developed over the past 10 years and can directly identify relevant payment transaction data from global scheme network providers, banks or merchants to facilitate the management and automation of new or existing reward and loyalty programs.

iDATS’ technology enables programs to be fully automated with rules to be applied to network transaction data to reward customers for specific transaction behaviour, in a way which has not previously been possible without costly Point-Of-Sale (POS) integration, staff training or the issuance of new program membership cards.

Rewards can be targeted and managed specifically across markets and industry sectors according to merchant requirements, strategy and objectives.

iDATS’ technology can also be used to deliver rewards already in use by existing programs (e.g. airline mileage points) in a cost effective manner and, for the first time, deliver programs that can be fully automated and offered across all card product types (debit, credit, commercial and prepaid) and all payment channels (face-to-face, online and mobile).

Uniquely, these programs can also be run domestically and internationally through iDATS’ end-to-end collection and settlement solution.

iDATS is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) that is a complex set of rules and requirements that applies to every person, business or organisation that handles credit card data. This includes any person, business or organisation that receives, stores, processes or transmits credit card details as set by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council.

iDATS holds a long term technical data services agreement with Visa Inc. allowing direct and integrated access to VisaNet through the Visa Loyalty Platform System (VLPS). The data services agreement applies to 17 countries including Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.
